Brazing is used in joining the different components of hydraulic lines.
Flame brazing is the most suitable technique for this purpose but other
methods like, induction brazing, furnace brazing, etc can also be used as
well. Hydraulic lines are used in a number of industries for different
purposes.
Composition: For brazing the hydraulic lines the brazing alloys
based on phosphorous is mainly used. When joining copper to copper, there is
almost no need of fluxes because phosphorous minimizes the need of separate
fluxing. The common constituents are:
- Copper
- Silver
- Phosphorous
Forms of Alloys: The brazing alloys for hydraulic lines can be found
in different forms.
- Wire: The alloys are found in forms of wire having the
diameters in the range of 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm.
- Rods: The brazing alloys for joining the hydraulic lines are
also found in the form of rods having the diameter in the range 1.0 mm
to 2.0 mm. The length of the rod can be up to 500 mm.
- Ribbon: These alloys can also be found in the form of
ribbons with a wide range of thickness.
- Preforms: They are also available in different desired
shapes, such as rings, shaped parts, sections, stamped and shaped parts.
