Induction Brazing Machine
The induction brazing machine is used for carrying out induction brazing
operations. It makes use of induction coils to activate localized heat in
the materials to be brazed. The machine is best suited for brazing magnetic
materials.
Induction Brazing
Induction brazing takes the benefits of induction heating ability to
provide rapid localized heating to a particular portion without contact to
the parts (components) being heated. It is not always essential to heat the
entire part during brazing. Unlike other brazing methods like furnace
brazing, induction heating provides the heat exactly where it is needed
within the proximity to the joint. During the brazing process the narrow
region on each of the two parts to be joined are brought to temperature at
the same time. Rapid localized heat is provided, which can minimize
oxidation and reduce cleaning after joining, especially when rapid cooling
is utilized.
Because of the localized heating it often eliminates deformation and any
other unwanted metallurgical changes in other regions of the part. Its
ability to provide localized heat helps to produce neat and clean joints by
restricting the alloy from flowing in areas that it shouldn't. Due to its
ability to create clean and controllable joints, induction brazing is being
used extensively in the electrical and electronics industries. Most of the
variables are controllable (i.e., parts handling and fixturing, amount of
alloy, time cycle, etc.), so it doesn't require skilled operators but even
then produces high quality repeatable parts.
